Local Chef-Led Supper Clubs You Should Know in Atlanta: Southern Child by Chef Rodney Smith

Believe it or not, chefs rarely get to curate an evening of storytelling of their choice. That’s why we love when they create their own supper clubs. It allows them to get creative and have some culinary freedom all from their point of view.

Southern Child is led by Chef Rodney Smith, Founder of The New South (a chef collective based in Atlanta showcasing culture, cuisine, & collaboration through dinners, events, & experiences) and focuses on southern traditional and forgotten dishes centered on his childhood, family, and roots.
We have loved watching his journey and listening to his stories. This last one was one of his best yet as guests were treated to some of his favorite low-country dishes and stories with his grandmother in attendance.
